With a release at Baselworld 2018, Oris introduced the new Divers Sixty-Five Steel/Bronze 40. This marks a more entry level piece into the Oris collection as the watch is less than 200m water resistant (it is 100m) and uses a more base caliber (the 733) that is, essentially, a Sellita SW200-1 automatic. But, in the scope of Oris timepiece pricing, this is reflected in the MSRP as well. Pricing, currently, begins at approximately $2,000. Get all of the full specs, images and videos inside.

As a part of Baselworld 2018, NOMOS release the updated version of the Tangente Neomatik. Originally a key timepiece in the NOMOS collection and history, the new and updated version utilizes a unique and visually pleasing method to display the date on the other edge of the dial and do the highlight in red. The Tangente Neomatik update also utilizes the in-house Caliber DUW 6101 movement that features both the NOMOS Balance Bridge and Swing System. More information on all of this can be found inside. Enjoy!
As is the case every year, Hublot released a number of new watches at Baselworld. One of the clear standouts, in our humble opinion, is the Big Bang Sapphire Tourbillon. Sapphire is an incredibly difficult medium to work with. To then make most major components of the watch (dial, case, etc.) out of it instead of just the crystals is quite a feat for any brand. And to include an in-house tourbillon movement with an incredible 5 days (115 hours) of power reserve just makes the watch even more incredible.
2018 marks the 100th year anniversary at Citizen. And, at Baselworld 2018 they did not disappoint. As a part of that celebration, they debuted their new Calibre 0100 movement in the form of a clean and simplistic pocketwatch design that is, by the way, a proof of concept piece that will not be available for sale to the public. What makes this Eco-Drive technology drive movement so special is that they have achieved an ANNUAL accuracy rate of ±1 second! Think about that for a second. ANNUAL. Not daily. Not weekly. Not monthly. Per year! When it comes to COSC certified quartz movements, they are rate to an average daily rate of ± 0.07 seconds per day. Expanded out to a full 365 day year, that can be as much as ± 25.55 seconds per year! Additionally, keep in mind that unlike other very highly accurate timepieces on the market, the new Calibre 0100 movement is autonomously based on a completely internal mechanism with no reliance whatsoever on any time signals from radio towers or GPS satellites.

Many of you know that GV2 is under the Gevril umbrella and like ourselves have collected them over the years. Think of them as the “sportier” brother within the luxury group. Today we’ve been given an offer on one of the coolest pieces they’ve built in awhile; the Motorcycle Sport. As the name states this mechanical automatic build is based on design elements of a high end racing bike. As with many GV2 builds the details stand out. For example, look at the shock absorber figures inset around the dial perimeter; the springs are actually fine pieces created and painted separately. The center of the dial is designed after the heavy spoke wheel, vented braking rotor and shoe, though which the date wheel appears with the chosen date highlighted via a window in the “shoe” area. Note that the shoe is set via screws into the dial build. The orange option takes the sporty flair beyond the others in that carbon fiber is featured on the dial plate. Inside pulses a MD3G Swiss made (Ruben and Sons SA) automatic movement showcased via the exhibition back. The 48mm x 14mm case is of 316L steel with the dial protected via anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The finished work is tested to 100M water resistance and presented on solid link 24mm bracelet which will fit up to 8.5” wrist. Given our brand direct relationship these ship brand new in original packaging with full factory warranty straight to you.

In the latest edition of our Pre-Basel 2018 series, we cover the new Nord Zeitmaschine CROSSNROLL. We didn't think that Daniel Nebel (the owner of Nord Zeitmaschine) could out do himself. After getting an email from him in preparation for the meeting that Tim and Michael have with him this week in Switzerland, we totally stand corrected. If his new CROSSNROLL doesn't blow your mind, nothing will! If you do nothing else, please do scroll down in the article and check out the videos of this amazing custom made timepiece in action! It really has to be seen to be believed!
Everyone knows that unicorns are mythical creatures that do not really exist. However, in the world of horology and Rolex they do! The almost mythical Rolex Daytona Reference 6265 done in white gold will go on the auction block in Switzerland on May 12th. Experts all agree that this is the one and only Rolex Daytona 6265 done in white gold that was ever made. With the proceeds of the sale of this watch going to charity, this timepiece is almost guaranteed to be one of the most expensive wrist watches ever sold, rivaling the "Bao Dai" and possibly even the "Paul Newman Daytona". Get the details here!
