We give you all the info you need to cast an informed vote. Images, specs and the movement. Please do take a moment to review everything before casting your vote. Then, please scroll to the bottom of the page and leave us a comment letting everyone know who you voted for and why.
Under most normal circumstances, we would not post something about a watch auction in our Industry News section. However, we know that many of you are Rolex fans (and might even own one or two) and are also fans of vintage watches. Perhaps you are looking for your next investment purchase (PLEASE NOTE: we never advocate purchasing a timepiece strictly for investment purposes). Therefore, we thought the upcoming auction of the Rolex "007" or "Big Crown" Submariner from 1958 might be of interest to you. Even if you are not interested in the Fellows auction, we have additional information on this particular 007 Submariner, James Bond watches worn in the movies and why Rolex timepieces cost what they do.
Here is an opportunity for a large aggressive look built by a call brand! The 48mm x 12mm case plays the wonderfully large on the wrist and is built from 316L steel. Contained within is a Japanese chronograph movement also offering quick set date between the four and five positions. The dial is dominated by a strong elongated roman numeral twelve and large matching raised markers, and protected by heavy scratch resistant crystal. The screw down back is decorated for Joseph Abboud branding. Both options feature the brushed bezel finished in black, with the pushers reflecting the dial color selection. Presented on custom shaped leather strap with classic buckle, the finished work is tested to 10 ATM water resistance. MSRP is 350.00 but reserve your choice of either the black or silver colored dial via TAW for just 99.00, shipping included!

After the industry bombshell announcement from the Swatch Group that they (and their 18 watch brands) were pulling out of the Baselworld show, it did not take long for the CEO of the MCH Group (the company responsible for the show) to resign. In this post, we give you all of the latest news that we have. Baselworld 2019 is still on. However, major changes are coming.
This is an opportunity on a classic concept built with a more aggressive attitude by a call brand. The 42mm x 12mm case is crafted of 316L steel and contains a Japanese multifunction movement. Resembling a chronograph layout, the subdials instead impart date of the month, day of the week, and GMT secondary time zone. The elongated raised and polished roman numerals on the textured dial are immediately eye catching. The hands are luminous and the dial is protected by a custom curved mineral crystal. The case back is both textured and ergonomically curved, as well as being hand set with screws on the corners. This watch has a great heft (easily several hundred grams) and plays large, as a 42mm square will play closer to a 50mm round in size appearance. Presented in solid link 8.5" bracelet with dual deployant clasp, the finished work is tested to 5 ATM water resistance. MSRP is 350.00, but reserve yours NOT preowned in choice of either silvertone or two-tone black for just 99.00, shipping included!

Please do hurry as we only have about a dozen of them available!
