INDUSTRY NEWS: Bell & Ross BR-X2 Skeleton Micro-Rotor Tourbillon Limited Edition

The Bell & Ross BR-X2 Skeleton Micro-Rotor Tourbillon Limited Edition is the latest edition in the BR-X2 "Experimental" collection that was released last year. The showcase here is the BR-CAL 381 micro-rotor automatic flying tourbillon (developed in conjunction with MHC Manufacture Haute Complication). INDUSTRY NEWS: Swiss Commission Will Not Investigate Swatch Group And Others Over Spare Parts

On January 1, 2016, the Swatch Group began limiting the access of spare parts to watches and movements produced and owned by them. This cuts out the vast majority of independent watchmakers and repair/service centers. Shortly after this, the Swiss Competition Commission (WEKO) began to receive official complaints and was considering opening an official inquiry into the situation. They have made their official ruling and it's not good for the independents out there and, potentially, anyone making a new watch purchase going forward.

INDUSTRY NEWS: Jack Ryan Wears A Hamilton (Khaki Field Auto Chrono)

Hamilton has a long history of appearing in movies and TV shows. According to them, they have been in over 450 movies, dating back to 1932 when the first ever Hamilton watch was worn in Shanghai Express. Hamilton is keeping up with the times and is also appearing in Amazon Prime Video streaming re-boot of the Jack Ryan franchise. In this series, Jack Ryan (played by John Krasinski of The Office fame) will be wearing a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto Chronograph. Joseph Abboud Chronograph

Here is an opportunity for a large aggressive look built by a call brand! The 48mm x 12mm case plays the wonderfully large on the wrist and is built from 316L steel. Contained within is a Japanese chronograph movement also offering quick set date between the four and five positions. The dial is dominated by a strong elongated roman numeral twelve and large matching raised markers, and protected by heavy scratch resistant crystal. The screw down back is decorated for Joseph Abboud branding. Both options feature the brushed bezel finished in black, with the pushers reflecting the dial color selection.
